 EAA
joined the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, FAI
officially in August 1997 becoming the first Arabian Gulf FAI
member and the third Arabian state. Since joining the FAI, EAA
participated strongly in different activities to be an Active
member of the federation.
The Emirates Aviation
Association is represented in the FAI by three commissions, the
Sport & General Aviation Commission (SGAC), the Aeromodelling
Commission, and the Emirates Paragliding and Hang gliding (EPHO). |

|
The EAA is a
member of the International Federation of Air Traffic
Controllers’ Association since April 2002 when it was announced
in Cancun, Mexico during the 41st IFATCA annual conference. EAA
then became the first IFATCA member in the Arabian Gulf.
The EAA is
represented in IFATCA by the ATC Commission. |
